Fascination of a messy bedroom

Forget the stylish, milimetrically polished flats and catalogues of trendy must-have products. Edited by a small team in Barcelona and Milan, Apartamento aspires to be a post-materialistic indie magazine. Interested in identity, authenticity and everything natural and personal, the magazine explores the everyday life of designers, musicians, bloggers and photographers. Living spaces and homes are approached as forms of self-expression. Messy bedrooms, untidy piles of books and chaotic studios - warmly welcome. We asked the editor Marco Velardi why it was so important to take down icons in design publishing.
