A tame crisis leader

More austerity, more sacrifice, economic stagnation and prospects of growing unemployment may not be a conventional electoral hit winner. But it was precisely with these ingredients that Spanish Conservative leader Mariano Rajoy was to clean the table among unenthusiastic voters in early parliamentary election in Spain.
